White Noise and Practical Tips When Traveling with Baby

A white noise machine for travel becomes an indispensable gadget when you travel with a young child.  Babies and intruding noise always spell trouble that a mother’s soothing voice may not be enough to reassure baby that everything is all right.  A white noise machine has built-in low-level background sound; it is engineered to mask intruding noise that can distract baby’s sleep.

Here is a model of a white noise machine for travel:

Aside from a good sleep, babies need food – enough of it.  And when is enough, enough?  Well, it is hard to tell with babies.  The best strategy is always to pack a little extra, just in case appetite picks up during your journey.

Are you breastfeeding?  Great!  Breastfeeding is the most convenient way to feed your baby; however, it may be inconvenient for mothers at certain times of the day.  The trick is to store your mother’s milk in a spill-proof canister, and put it inside a portable cooler, packed with ice.  Babies need to consume packed-mother’s milk within 24 hours, to avoid spoilage.

Those who prefer to pack baby formula when they travel can minimize inconvenience by bringing feeding bottles, pre-measured baby milk, and water.

Baby cereals, ready-to-mix baby foods of different flavor varieties, including fruits are also excellent ideas.
When it comes to family travels, the rule of thumb is always to exercise foresight; bring a white noise machine to ward off intruding noise, and always pack something extra for family needs, most especially when there is a baby.  However, remember to moderate.  Know when “enough” becomes too much.  Do not lose your sense of adventure because of excess baggage.
